The Garland County sheriff's office said Saturday that a body found late Friday afternoon by the Mountain Pine marshal's office has been sent to the state Crime Laboratory.
The marshal's office located the body at 4:19 p.m. Friday near 11th Avenue in Mountain Pine and called for assistance from the sheriff's office, which responded with investigators, along with the Garland County coroner, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
"At this time the body has not been identified and has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine identification and the cause of death," the release said.
