Alexander Fink of Bella Vista and George Black of Rogers were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at at Greenville (Ill.) University.

U.S. Military Academy

Ty Galyean of Rogers is a 2018 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., earning a degree in civil engineering with honors. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Army Aviation branch and will report to Fort Rucker, Ala., for his first assignment.

State Tech

Michael Manion of Harrison is a 2018 graduate of the State Technical College of Missouri in Linn.

Northeastern State University

Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., named several local students to its spring 2018 honor rolls.

Students on thethe president's honor roll, earned grade-point averages of 4.0. They include Lykita Pledger Thompson and Amber Tyndal of Fort Smith, Jessica Deshazer of Rogers, Chase Clausing and Andrew Jenison of Siloam Springs and Emily Barrett of Springdale.

Missouri State University

Missouri State University in Springfield recently awarded scholarships to incoming students for the 2018-19 academic year. These students were selected based on their ACT scores, grade-point averages, standings in graduating classes and leadership in community and school activities. These students were awarded and have accepted university-funded scholarships as of May 23.

Melodey Reeves of Centerton and Michele Parks of Bella Vista, an online student, were named to the spring 2018 dean's list at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo., with grade-point averages of 3.5 or better.

Wesleyan University

Sarah Huang of Fayetteville is a 2018 graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and English.

University of Northern Colorado

Austin Thompson of Fayetteville is a 2018 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, with a master of biomedical science degree.
