Clarksville 65, Dover 62

Bob Hurley poured in a team-high 25 points to lead the Panthers to victory in the 4A-4 Conference opener on Tuesday.

Clarksville (4-8, 1-0) led 25-24 at halftime but trailed 47-46 heading into the fourth quarter. Hurley also dished out five assists, while Trace Thomas added 15 points and five rebounds. Cole Clark chipped in 12 points and Cameron Patterson dished out five assists.

Elkins 69, Greenland 34

Caden Vaught scored 26 points as Elkins opened 3A-1 West Conference play with a victory over Greenland.

Paxton Barnett added 18 points for the Elks (11-0, 1-0), who led 44-14 at halftime. Caleb White led Greenland with 11 points.

Deer 69, Kingston 52

Johnny Smith and Caden Young combined for 51 points as Deer defeated Kingston in 1A-1 Conference play.

Smith finished with 26 and Young added 25 for the Antlers, who used a 24-5 run in the third quarter to turn a three-point halftime deficit into a 55-39 lead.

Gunnar Davis led Kingston with 18 points while Avery Weaver chipped in 15.

Jasper 55, Alpena 36

Jasper used a 16-2 run in the second quarter to pull away from Alpena and earn a 1A-1 Conference win at Alpena.

The Pirates (12-4, 2-1) already had a 16-6 lead before the outburst gave them a 32-8 halftime cushion.

Caleb Carter had 20 points to lead a trio of Jasper players in double figures, followed by Chance Pruitt with 14 and Laythan Collins with 11. Blake Stone led Alpena with 19 points.

Girls

Webb City, Mo. 46, Bentonville West 42

West enjoyed a 20-16 halftime lead, but the Lady Wolverines couldn't stay ahead as Webb City recorded a nonconference win Wednesday in Wolverine Arena.

The game was originally part of last week's Crabtree Invitational but was called off because of the winter weather threat.

Webb City outscored West (3-5) 16-5 in the third quarter to take a 32-25 lead.

Kelsie Mahone had 11 of her 14 points in the first half to lead West, while Shania Wilson added 13.

Greenwood 55, Farmington 52

Jailin Glass converted a three-point play in the final 30 seconds to help the Lady Bulldogs hold off a late charge by the Lady Cardinals.

Kinley Fisher led Greenwood (6-1) with 13 points, while Kyiah Julian added 11 and Shea Goodwin 10. Farmington (7-1) trailed by as many as 15 but took a 52-50 lead in the final minute only to have the Lady Bulldogs rally back. MaidsynPense led the Lady Cardinals with 16, while Makenna Vanzant added 12.
