UPDATE: 3:44 p.m.

The Springdale Police Department has identified the dead man as 19-year-old Javier Nicolas-Rodriguez of Bethel Heights according to a department press release.

EARLIER:

SPRINGDALE -- A 19-year-old man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound Thursday, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.

While police were investigating reports of gunshots about 3 a.m. the man was found in a vehicle that crashed at 1659 Pioneer St., according to the release.

Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide.
