Mrs. Mary Lee Hughes Lusk was born January 17, 1939, in Cornerstone, Ark. to the late Mannie and Artelia Hughes.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roosevelt Lusk Jr., two daughters Wanda Lusk Freeman of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Rhonda Lusk of Altheimer; two sons, Charles Lusk of North Little Rock, Ark. and Ray Lusk of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one brother, Albert Hughes of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters Minnie Johnson of Denver, Colo., Brenda Barnes of Altheimer, Ark. and Brenette Wilder of Lee Summit, Mo.; 9 grand children, 16 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church in Altheimer, Ark.

Interment is in the Altheimer Community Cemetery with services entrusted to the P.K. Miller Mortuary.

Visitation is Friday, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Chauncy C. Long, 18, of Pine Bluff, passed October 22, 2017. Celebration of Life for Chauncy will be Saturday 2:30 p.m. New Community Church with Elder G. L. Hadley, Sr. Interment Henson Memorial Gardens by Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

Virginia Bruhl

Virginia Charlotte (Heuer) Bruhl, 94, of Pine Bluff, Ark. formerly of Cape Girardeau and eldest child of John and Iska (Arste) Heuer went home to her Lord October 31st on the eve of All Saints Day. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert C. Bruhl. They were married in Illmo, Mo. April 18, 1942. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Ora (Humes) Heuer, infant sister Lawanda, brothers Donald and John (Jimmy) Heuer and one great grandson, Gilbert W. Bruhl.

Virginia is survived by one sister, Juanita (Heuer) Roth of San Diego, daughter Phyllis Dunger (J.P.) of White Hall, Ark., son Robert Bruhl (Gloria) of Blue Grove, Texas, son Win Bruhl (Rita) of Little Rock, Ark., grand children Taborri Bruhl (Susan), Kim Bruhl (Candy), Corine Bethard (Wes), Heidi Vogtsberger (Roy), Jakob Bruhl (Lesley), Joseph Bruhl (Katie), John Bruhl (Katie), Phillip Dunger (special friend Amanda), Christy Henslee (Rob), and 21 great grandchildren, two nephews, one niece, and additional family.

Virginia worked for Ely Walker and Thorngate as a sewing machine operator. While in Cape Girardeau, Mo., she worked for Hospice before moving to Pine Bluff in 1995.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pine Bluff, Ark. Saturday, November 4th at 11 o’clock in the morning. Interment will be Monday, November 6th at 10:30 in the morning at Trinity Lutheran Church, Egypt Mills, Mo. Visitation will occur at the church one hour prior to grave side rites.

Harvey Taylor

Harvey Derwood Taylor, 94 years old, of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away, Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at his home.

He was born January 19, 1923, in Fordyce, to Harvey L. and Lucy Thornton Taylor. He was reared and educated in Dallas County.

Mr. Taylor served in the United States Army during World War II from 1940 – 1945 and was Honorably discharged. .

He was a member of First Assembly of God and retired in 1986 from International Paper as a dispatcher.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Taylor, whom he married on July 30, 1966, in Pine Bluff.

Visitation will be Friday, 6 to 8 PM at Robinson’s.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Saturday, November 4, 2017, at First Assembly of God with Reverend Gary Bell officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

WHITE HALL - Mrs. Earlene J. Stennis, 83, of White Hall, Ark. passed October 29, 2017. She was born in Eagle Mill, Ark. to the late Fred Griffith and Classie Chisolm Griffith.

She leaves to cherish her memories to: two sons, Gary Williams of Mt. Olive, Miss. and Rev. Rudolph Stennis, Jr. of Camden, Ark.; Two daughters, Anita Stennis of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Cynthia Butler of White Hall, Ark.; Nine Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 at True Vine E Baptist Church by Rev. Rudolph Stennis, Jr. Interment will be Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

Reba Tidwell

Reba Lee Hoover Cason Tidwell, 97, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, November 2, 2017.

She was born July 2, 1920 in Florence Drew, Ark., daughter of William Clyde Hoover and Eddie Jane Sumrall Hoover Crain.

Mrs. Tidwell was reared and received her education in several schools, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1938.

She lived several places, moving back to Pine Bluff in 1978.

Mrs. Tidwell was a member of South Side Baptist Church for several years and was currently a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Cason; husband, Frank Tidwell; her parents; and sister, Mary Katherine Dow.

Survivors include her sister, Corrinn Meek of Monticello; step-son, Darrel Cason of Castaling Springs, Tenn.; nieces, Katherine “Joy” Butler of Stantonville, Tenn. and Janie Crain of Cordova, Tenn.; and nephews, Jerry Crain of Cordova, Tenn. and Randy Meek of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Gene Murdock officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Ruby Jewell Coleman, 67, of Pine Bluff, Ark. passed October 29, 2017. She was born in Tarry, Ark. to the late Harvey and Elnora (Riley) Cubie.

Joe Stocker

Superintendent Joe Louis Stocker, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed on Monday, October 30, 2017. He was born April 9, 1941 to Mr. Ferda and Mrs. Willie Rucks Stocker, in the Kedron community, Rison, Ark. He received his early education at Rowland Elementary and Lanwood Junior and Senior High Schools. On June 6, 1970, he was appointed pastor of Main Street Church of God in Christ by Bishop L.T. Walker where he remained a faithful and dedicated leader for more than forty-seven years. He also served as 2nd Administrative Assistant to Arkansas Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Jewel R. Withers, Jr., and as the District Superintendent for Pine Bluff #1.

Services will be held on Friday, November 3rd with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. at Main Street Church of God in Christ with a celebratory service following and; on Saturday, November 4th at First Trinity Church of God in Christ with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time at 11:00 a.m.

His survivors include his wife, Ingrid McNair Stocker; three daughters, Priscillia Smith (Webster, Texas) Teresa Griffin (Southaven, Miss.) and Sylvia Grissom (Charlotte, N.C.) an adopted son, Elder Dennis Johnson (Pine Bluff); four brothers; one sister; and three grandchildren.

Leah Morgan

Leah Dawn Maxwell Morgan, 51, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.

Leah was born July 4, 1966, in Pine Bluff, to the late Fredrick Wellington and Linda Gail McCaskill. She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, where she graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1984.

Leah worked for Ortho Arkansas in Little Rock for 10 years.

She attended Watson Chapel Baptist Church and Double Wells Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her sister, Kerri Janea Melton of Pine Bluff; half-brother, Jacob Maxwell of Pine Bluff; two nephews, Kaleb Don Payton and Trey Wilson Melton, both of Pine Bluff; three aunts, Brenda Moore of Pine Bluff, Retha (Conrad) Puckett of Houston, Texas, Sandra (Jack) Samford of Palatka, Florida; Uncle, Bruce (D’Anna) Maxwell of Pine Bluff; seven cousins, Dwight Puckett, Deanna Ballard, Kimberly Reid, Sean McCaskill, all of Houston, Texas, Lynn Maxwell of Hot Springs, Richard Maxwell of Pine Bluff and Murphy Maxwell of Pine Bluff; and many other cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death her parents, and her grandparents, Ryland and Ruby Robinson and Joe and Faye Maxwell.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 4, 2017. 1 to 2 PM, at Robinson’s.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, 2 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverends Todd Howard and Mack Milner officiating. Interment will be private.

DeMarion Shelton 12, of Altheimer passed on October 26, 2017. He was born June 23, 2005 in Pine Bluff to Derick Shelton, Sr and LaTeshia Cloird Logan. He was a student at Robert E. Moorehead Middle School .

DUMAS - Mr. Leon Ward, 58 of Dumas, Ark. passed Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
