Hufft Projects opens new studio

Design firm Hufft Projects is opening a studio at 403 S.E. Fifth St. in Bentonville. This is the Kansas City, Mo.-based firm's second location.

Hufft Projects is working on a number of cultural and hospitality projects in Northwest Arkansas, including the renovation to the former Tyson Foods processing plant, which is nearing completion. The building and site are part of the Eighth Street Market District and home to the Brightwater Center for the Study of Food, an extension of Northwest Arkansas Community College, among other tenants.

Glowgolf opens Rogers mall site

Glowgolf, an operator of indoor, glow-in-the-dark, miniature golf courses based in Wichita, Kan., opened a new location at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. Glow-in-the-dark miniature golf is a family entertainment concept similar to black light or "cosmic" bowling. Special florescent golf balls, putters, course obstacles and wall decor all glow under black lights.

Located next to Old Navy, the new Pinnacle Hills Promenade Glowgolf features a 36-hole miniature golf course, a Laser Maze Challenge, a 3Kick martial arts attraction and an area for birthday parties and group events. Miniature golf admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children, allowing guests to play up to 54 holes. Group and family discounts are also available.

Springdale Water wins state award

Springdale Water Utilities won a Commitment Level Award for business excellence and practices during the Arkansas Governor's Quality Awards ceremony Sept. 20 in Little Rock. More than 300 people attended the ceremony where Gov. Asa Hutchinson handed out awards to 27 organizations from across the state.

Springdale Water Utilities is the first municipal water and wastewater utility in Arkansas to be recognized at this level. The utility serves more than 100,000 people in Northwest Arkansas. This is the first year the utility applied for the designation.

ABF Freight earns Top 100 listing

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, was recognized as a Top 100 Motor Freight Carrier by Inbound Logistics, a monthly trade magazine for business logistics and supply chain professionals.

Each year, Inbound Logistics selects the leading transportation providers by evaluating submitted information, conducting personal interviews and online research, and comparing that data to their readers' motor freight and logistics challenges.

Medical building opens in Johnson

Washington Regional opened a 15,800-square-foot facility in Johnson that has two clinics and a physical therapy center. The two-story brick building is at 3561 Johnson Mill Blvd. The building was designed by Allison Architects and built by C.R. Crawford Construction, in conjunction with area business leader and real estate developer Gerald Johnston and his GM Johnston Family Companies.

Washington Regional Urgent Care is on the first floor and provides nonemergency care for all ages, with no appointment needed. It joins another Washington Regional Urgent Care, which is located at 3017 N. Bob Younkin Drive in Fayetteville. The Northwest Arkansas Neurosurgery Clinic, with Dr. Luke Knox, is also on the first floor to provide nonsurgical spine care. The second floor features the clinic's Total Spine therapy and rehabilitation area, with specialized equipment from David Health Solutions.
