Rogers Heritage High School will commemorate its Colors Day on Friday and Saturday. The Heritage War Eagles host the Fort Smith Northside Grizzlies in a 7:30 p.m. game Friday at the school's main gym.
The Colors Day Court was nominated and elected by the Heritage student body. The Colors Day queen and king, and the princess and prince, will be announced during a Colors Day assembly at 1 p.m. Friday in the school gym.
The queen and king will be chosen from three senior attendants and their escorts: Baylee Maes is the daughter of Steve and Kitty Bonsteel Maes. Her escort will be Jake Smith, the son of Sherry and Mike Smith. Asusena Santos is the daughter of Maria Santos and Octavio Santos. Asusena will be escorted by Abel Perez, son of Irma and Enrique Perez. The final senior attendant is Faith von Gremp, daughter of Traci and Andy von Gremp. She will be escorted by John Glynn, son of Cindy and John Glynn.
Three attendants and escorts will represent the junior class. From these, the princess and prince will be chosen. Molly Anderson Mills is the daughter of Yancy Anderson and Staci Mills Adams. She will be escorted by Luke Heiligenthal, son of Kerie and Joel Heiligenthal. Adriana Guadarrama is the daughter of Yolanda and Adrian and Guadarrama. Adriana will be escorted by Tito Albarran, son of Basilisa and Tito Albarran. The final junior attendant will be Zoe Hawk, daughter of Arlet Humes and Debra Hawk. She will be escorted by Eric Salas, son of Maria and Jose Salas.
Two attendants and escorts will represent the sophomore class. Brisa Moreno, daughter of Hortencia Castro, will be escorted by Chris Cano, son of Karina and Abel Cano. The second sophomore attendant is Grace Brackett the daughter of Kristi and Burke Brackett. She will be escorted by Trey Kitterman, son of Tricia and Barry Kitterman.
Two attendants and escorts will represent the freshman class. Felicity Auxier is the daughter of James Auxier and Emily Lipscomb. Felicity will be escorted by Dereck Fitch Jr., son of David and Cindy Fitch . The second freshman attendant is Diana Garcia, daughter of Idalia Gracia. Diana will be escorted by Ricky Moore, son of Richard and Malena Moore..
Two children, selected by the staff of Heritage High School, also participate in the Colors Day activities. Serving as basketball-bearer from Frank Tillery Elementary School will be Nolan Kerr, son of Adrianne and Eric Kerr. The crown-bearer, from Mary Mae Jones Elementary will be Evelyn Porter, daughter of Jamie and Jaron Porter.
The Colors Day Dance, hosted by the Heritage Student Council, runs from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the school's Commons area.
