BENTONVILLE -- The owner of New Adams House was ordered not to have any contact with the two women who have accused him of sexually abusing them.

Angel Floro, 68, of Bentonville was arrested Tuesday in connection with rape and second-degree sexual assault. Prosecutors haven't filed formal charges against Floro.

Rogers District Judge Paul Bridges set Floro's bond at $50,000, and Floro was released from the Benton County Jail at 8 a.m. Thursday after he posted bond.

Bridges ordered Floro not to have any contact with the women. Floro also must stay away from New Adams House. The assisted living facility at 101 Angel Floro Drive has 22 residents, according to Bentonville police.

Bentonville police were called March 9 about the possible sexual abuse of female residents by a male employee, according to court documents. A female resident said Floro entered her room and touched her in a sexual manner, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Another female resident also reported to police Floro touched her inappropriately, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Floro denied the allegations when questioned by police.

"Angel Floro denies the accusations levied against him," said Scott Hall, an attorney who represents the Floro family. "He appreciated all of the prayers and positive offers of assistance he has received. The Floro family remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for residents of New Adams House."

Floro's arraignment is set for 8 a.m. June 6 in Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green's court.
