BENTONVILLE -- A Rogers woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison in connection with the robbery, stabbing and kidnapping of a former boyfriend.

Adrianna Hernandez, 18, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated robbery and kidnapping, both Class Y felonies and first-degree battery, a Class B felony; and theft of property, a Class C felony. The plea was under an agreement Hernandez's attorney Kathryn Moore reached with Brynna Barnica, deputy prosecutor.

Hernandez was arrested when she was 17, and she was charged as an adult.

Erik Herrera-Ruiz said he and his former girlfriend, Hernandez, began communicating with each other through Facebook, and on Oct. 4, 2014, he went to meet her at 9925 Stoney Hollow Road, according to a probable cause affidavit. Herrera-Ruiz said shortly after he arrived, a man, later identified as her husband Toby Hernandez, hit him on the head with a baseball bat.

The two men began fighting, and Herrera-Ruiz said he was stabbed multiple times by Adrianna Hernandez, according to the affidavit. Herrera-Ruiz said the pair took his wallet and cellphone, and made him take off all of his clothes except his underwear.

The two then made him get in a pickup. He sat in the back with Adrianna Hernandez while Toby Hernandez drove, according to court documents. Herrera-Ruiz said Adrianna Hernandez began putting on gloves and telling him where they were taking him. Herrera-Ruiz said he was able to roll down a window and jump out.

Herrera-Ruiz fled to a convenience store and sought help. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated for 68 stab wounds, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Adrianna and Toby Hernandez were later arrested in Ottawa County, Okla.

Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Adrianna Hernandez's guilty pleas.

She was sentenced to 20 years in prison. She will have to serve at least 14 years before she will be eligible for parole. She will have to abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 10 years after her release from prison. She received 344 days of jail credit for the time she spent in the Benton County Jail awaiting her trial.

Adrianna Hernandez was ordered not to have any contact with Herrera-Ruiz or his family. She also must pay $16,310 in restitution and $1,811 in court costs.

Toby Hernandez, 22, of Rogers is facing the same charges. His jury trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 17.
