Dixon, 39, was issued a $1 million cash-only bond by Van Hook.

At 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, El Dorado police went to 603 Bruster St. after receiving reports that a person on the front porch had been shot, said police spokesman Kevin Holt.

Upon arrival, police saw a man, later identified as Cordario Cortez Floyd, 23, sprawled over a chair with a gunshot wound in the head, Holt said.

Floyd was taken to the Medical Center of South Arkansas by ambulance and later pronounced dead, Holt said.

A second victim, Jaterrance Hamilton, 24, who was shot in the neck, was transported by private vehicle to the same hospital. Hamilton's condition was unknown Friday night.

Police identified Dixon as the suspect. He was arrested at 603 Nelson St. and was taken to the Union County jail.

"We are still following our leads," Holt said Friday. "This investigation is ongoing."
