The Cathedral of St. Andrew was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, for the marriage of Clare Marie Selig and Andrew Wayne Coates. Deacon Don Greenway from Christ the King Catholic Church officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Linda and Stephen Louis Selig, 54 Iviers Drive. She is the granddaughter of Jo Nell Long and the late Gordon Long of Fayetteville and the late Roman and Augustine Selig of Corning.

The groom is the son of Debby and the late Wayne L. Coates Jr., 3 Betswood Circle. His grandparents are the late Jeanne and Lee Bransford of Lonoke and the late Phyllis and Wayne Coates of Stuttgart.

Nuptial music was by organist Scott Whitfield. Assisting with programs were Jane Selig and Jessica Selig, both of Little Rock, and Katherine Coates of Brooklyn, N.Y., sister of the groom.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory beaded lace gown with wide lace straps and sweetheart neckline. She carried a bouquet of cream, champagne and blush garden roses, astilbe, ranunculus and scabiosa.

Megan Davidson of Dallas was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kenlie Bryant and Alex Posey, both of Fayetteville and cousins of the bride; Laura Collins and Blake Kees, cousin of the bride, both of Little Rock; and Elizabeth Heiles of Memphis, cousin of the bride. They wore champagne-colored gowns, each in a different style, and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Serving as best man was Philip Wilson of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Ben Bailey, Adam Bearden, Casey Dwyer, Jimmy Ritchie and Ben Viguerie, all of Little Rock. Guests were seated by Adam Buerkle of Fayetteville; and Geoffrey Campbell and Drew Selig and Matt Selig, both brothers of the bride, all of Little Rock. Honorary ring bearer was Wynn Selig of Little Rock, nephew of the bride.

A reception at the Clinton Presidential Center followed the ceremony. Several guest tables were decorated with large Lucite columns topped with greenery to form tree-like arrangements. The remaining guest tables were draped with eucalyptus and floral garlands. Music was by Memphis Soul Revue.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She graduated with honors and a master's degree in communication disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a speech language pathologist with Kids Care Therapy in Dallas.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in construction management. He is a project manager with DPR Construction in Dallas.

After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Dallas.
