Village Inn has options for everyone

Breakfast served all day and free pie with meal purchase on Wednesdays

Village Inn is a household name that fosters a reputation for its house-made pies and made-to-order breakfasts. The locally-owned franchise also serves homestyle meals including hand-patted burgers, hand-battered cod fillets, specialty sandwiches and freshly prepared salads.

Starting this month, the Northwest Arkansas restaurants are offering menu options for guests with gluten sensitivity. Village Inns across the country will have an option to offer the gluten-sensitive menu items.

Breakfast is served all day and includes made-from-scratch crepes, omelets, eggs Benedict, fresh-baked biscuits, savory skillets and cooked-to-order classics like French toast, Belgian waffles and made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes.

The Big Country skillet features sausage, bacon, red bell peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheeses tossed with country potatoes and topped with sausage gravy and two eggs. The Crispy Chicken Cordon Bleu skillet combines diced chicken tenders, ham, onions, green peppers and country potatoes topped with Swiss cheese, Hollandaise sauce and two eggs.

All skillets are served with the made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes.

Homestyle meals such as smothered chicken or chopped steak include two sides, a cup of soup and a side salad. Additional options include chicken-fried steak, grilled center-cut pork chops or a top sirloin steak grilled in garlic.

The pie selection has numerous staples and several seasonal selections. On Wednesdays, customers who dine in between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. get a free slice of double-crust fruit pie or feature pie with any purchase. Current offerings include coconut cream and peach lattice.

Pie is available by the slice or as a whole pie and can also be pre-ordered online.

Village Inn in Fayetteville is open 6 a.m.-midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. The Bentonville location is open 6 a.m.-midnight daily.
