Trapnall Hall was the setting at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, for the marriage of Li Sun and Charles Darwin Davidson Jr. The Rev. Greg Schick of St. James United Methodist Church officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Pei'yan Liu and Xi'xin Sun of Weifang City, Shandong Province, China. She is the granddaughter of Zi'xiu Guo and Qing'xiang Liu, also of Weifang City.

Parents of the groom are Dr. Alice Davidson and Barry Holt, 3714 Oakwood Road, and Charles D. "Skip" Davidson, 11021 Ruby Lane. His grandparents are the late LaRue Stallcup and the late Odie Stallcup, both of Fayetteville, and the late Ruby Davidson and the late John Davidson, both of Lake Village.

Arrangements of yellow and pink roses and white gladiolus decorated the ceremony site. Music was by pianist Mary Branch and harpist Elisa Coffey.

Given in marriage by the father of the groom, the bride wore a strapless white ballgown embellished with fabric rosettes on the bodice. The full skirt extended from a gathered band at the waist to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses.

Arrangements of yellow and pink roses and white gladiolus decorated the reception, also at Trapnall Hall. Assisting were Meredith Martin of Little Rock and Jeffrey Tucker of Dallas.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in English from Zhejiang A&F University in Hangzhou, China, and is a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock pursuing a degree in marketing.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, a juris doctorate from the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock and a master's in taxation from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is vice president of foreign operations at PerfectVision Manufacturing Inc.

After a wedding trip to Thailand, the couple will live in Little Rock.
