Rogers police identify couple in murder-suicide

The man and woman who died Friday night in what police termed a murder-suicide at a mobile home park in Rogers have been identified.

Aaron N Jones, 30, and Glenda Marie Crowson, 31, both had gunshot wounds to the head when police arrived at Midway Mobile Home Park, 1309 E New Hope Road, Lot 11 on Friday night.

Police were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide, said Keith Foster, spokesman. Police believe Jones shot Crowson and then himself in the mobile home they shared, Foster said.

A neighbor heard a shot, found Crowson on the ground and bleeding from her head, left and called police. The call came in at 9:54 p.m. Friday. Jones was moving erratically around the trailer and Crowson was lying on the floor when the neighbor arrived, according to a police news release. The person who called police told them Jones was in the living room, according to police records.

By the time police arrived Jones had shot himself, Foster said.

Medics were on scene at 10:01 p.m., according to police records.

Crowson was airlifted to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville where she died.

Jones was taken to Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A handgun used in the shooting was found, according to a police news release. No one else was in the mobile home at the time of the shooting, Foster said.

Police have not established a reason for the shooting, Foster said.
