• The Rogers Heritage War Eagle Baseball Camp will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 16-18 at Veterans Park. The camp is for age 7-15, and registration is $50 per camper. GOLF
• The Beat The Heat Summer Swing golf tournament, which benefits the Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation, is May 30 at Shadow Valley Golf Club in Rogers. • The Greens at Lakeside will hold a Thursday night scramble each week starting at 5:30 p.m. The scramble is open to anyone. Contact the pro shop at 442-7748.
• The First Tee of NWA offers its golf and life skills programming on a monthly basis (April to October) to youth ages 7 to 18, who become annual members for $30. Each monthly session offers four 1½ hour classes (one a week) for $25 a month. As members, participants (and their family) receive discounted rates at the Tyson First Tee Learning Center in Lowell. • The First Tee of NWA is offering 14 weeks of Summer Golf Camps for youth 10 and older -- eight weeks in Lowell (Tyson First Tee Learning Center) and six weeks in Bella Vista (Brittany Golf Course). Camps begin the week of June 9 and continue through July. Each weeklong camp will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday with Friday used as a rain make-up day. • The First Tee of NWA is offering three seven-week programs featuring competitive golf sponsored by Powerade beginning the week of June 9. The Powerade Summer Golf League will practice one day a week and play a match one day a week for participants entering seventh grade through high school in the fall. The "Let's Go Golfing" Series, for two age groups 7/8 and 9 to 11, will meet on Friday mornings at the Tyson First Tee Learning Center. The Summer Golf Tour, with two age groups 12/13 and 14 and older, will play on Friday mornings and alternate between the Greens at Blossom Way, the Links at Springdale and the Links at Rainbow Curve. • The First Tee of NWA will offer girls-only golf and life skills programming Thursday evenings in June. Registration is open to girls 9-11 and 12 and older. RUNNING
• The Springdale Rotary Club will host its second annual Pig Trail Mud Run on May 31 on the Ecclesia College campus in Springdale. Runners must be 14 or older to enter and should factor in the challenging obstacles they will have to navigate to complete this 5K run. The first flight will begin at 8 a.m. This year's race will focus on teamwork. While clocks will allow runners to time their individual race times, awards will be given for the largest team, the "best-dressed" team and to the individual who exhibits the highest level of teamwork. Organizations may want to consider using the event as a team-building exercise. Runners may register at www.pigtrailmudrun.com and packet pick-up will take place from noon to 10 p.m. May 30 at the Springdale Holiday Inn front desk. TRACK AND FIELD
• Bentonville High School will host its Track and Field Camp on May 29-31 at the Tiger Athletic Complex. The camp is open for any child who will be in kindergarten through eighth grade for the upcoming school year. Camp times will be 4-6:30 p.m. for the Thursday and Friday sessions and 3-6 p.m. Saturday and will include a number of track and field events. Cost of the camp is $60 for entries received before May 24 and $70 for entries after May 24 with family discounts for more than one camper.
