Bentonville Library To Hold Volunteer Training For Summer

BENTONVILLE -- The public library is looking for volunteers to help during the summer.

Teenagers can assist with Summer Reading Club, setup and cleanup of children's programs, craft preparation, shelving material and other projects through the Teen Volunteer program, according to a news release.

Teen volunteer summer training will be 4:30 p.m. Monday and May 21. Volunteers only need to attend one session.

There also are volunteer opportunities for adults and junior partners, such as book repairs and shelving and straightening materials.

Junior partners are ages 8 to 12 and volunteer with an accompanying parent or guardian. Organizations or groups can also serve for special projects.

Go to www.bentonvillelibrary.org/volunteer and complete the online application to apply. Upon receipt of a complete application, library staff will contact applicants to schedule an appointment.
