Beaver Water District Hosts ‘Green’ Lunch

The Beaver Water District will host a Putting Green to Work lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the district administration building at 301 N. Primrose in Lowell.

Putting Green to Work lunches were created by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality in partnership with Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions. The series is designed to help industry leaders learn how to save energy, prevent pollution and conserve resources.

The Beaver Water District is the source of drinking water for more than 420,000 Northwest Arkansas residents. The district hosts “Building Blocks to Water Education,” a teacher-driven curriculum aimed at educating school children about water quality.

Admission to the lunch is free, but registration is required by 4 p.m. Tuesday. More information is available by calling Audree Miller at (501) 682-0015.
