Deed signed on old post office in Fayetteville

Ron Bumpass, whose family has owned the old post office building in the center of the downtown square since 1977, signed the deed to the historic structure over to Jim Huson on Wednesday.

Huson and his wife Teresa own Doe's Eat Place franchises in Fayetteville and Bentonville. Jim Huson said after closing on the property Wednesday that a new business should be up and running by Aug. 1.

The closing had originally been scheduled Saturday.
