Fayetteville senior Bryant Ezell won medalist honors at the Class 7A state bowling tournament Monday, scoring an 806 total over three games to help the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at Bowling World in Fort Smith.
Ezell rolled a 296 in his first game, followed by scores of 267 and 243 to easily defeat Ben Morris of Conway, who scored 737. The Bulldogs as a team totaled 4,564, second to state champion Cabot’s total of 4,790.
The Cabot girls made it a sweep for the Panthers and Lady Panthers on Monday, defeating runner-up Bentonville by a close 3,651 to 3,566 margin. Lainey Lopez led the Lady Tigers with a third-place individual finish, scoring 570.
Rogers High junior Haley Williams finished second overall with a score of 648 to help the Lady Mounties to a fourth-place finish.
Along with Fayetteville’s runner-up finish in the boys tournament, Bentonville scored 4,171 points to place fifth.
