Jennifer Lynne Yenawine of Fayetteville graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Clifton Ruddick, a National Board Certified Teacher at J.B. Hunt Elementary in Springdale was selected as the only K-12 teacher from Arkansas to receive a full scholarship to attend this summer’s National Civil War Teachers Institute in Charleston, S.C. Expenses are paid by the National Civil War Trust of Washington, D.C. Last summer, Ruddick was selected to stay at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate to conduct research.

Dillon Buckner was named to the dean’s list atDuke University in Durham, N.C., where he must rank in the top third of his college. He is a public policy major. Buckner is a 2009 graduate of Fayetteville High School and the son of Amy and Matt Buckner of Fayetteville.

Margaret Schweiger of Fayetteville was among honorees during a convocation at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., who earned a 3.6 or higher grade point average. The daughter of Beth and Thomas Schweiger is undecided as to her major. She graduated from Fayetteville High School.

David Lawson of Elkins is in a group of incoming freshmen at Harding University in Searcy who earn three hours of college credit in the Bible course, “The Mediterranean World” by study for two weeks touring the area around Athens, Greece.
