Thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening, according to National Weather Service meteorologist John Robinson.
Northern Arkansas will see some thunderstorms in the evening. There may be a few storms that are severe, and the severe weather threats are large hail and damaging winds, Robinson said.
Storms occurred in southwest parts of the state this morning.
Robinson advised "people should be on the alert for pop-up thunderstorms." However, there will not be a large outbreak of severe weather, he said.
