Billy David Price

SPRINGDALE — Billy David Price, 64, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on Oct. 21, 2010, in Springdale. He was born April 11, 1946, in Rogers, Ark., to the late Neil and Mildred Council Price.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and attending NASCAR races.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marylin Schlesinger; and by one brother, Jack Price.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, at Tucks Chapel Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.

Memorials may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.

Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Ruth Edna Carpenter

SPRINGDALE — Ruth Edna Carpenter, 90, of Springdale died Oct. 21, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born April 28, 1920, in Moline, Ill., to Ruth Anna Myers and Jack Gross. She loved gardening and her dog.

Survivors include a brother, Richard Havens of Fayetteville.

There are no services planned.

Cremation arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

yde Wilbur Billings

FAYETTEVILLE — Clyde Wilbur Billings, 64, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Fayetteville. He was born July 27, 1946, in Summit, Ark., the son of Van and Eula Hardin Billings.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War; attended and graduated from Farmington Schools. He worked for Farmington Schools in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Truman, Virgil, Ulis, Cleve and Everett Billings; his sisters, Louise Latham, Lazelle Willsey and Lucia Gideon; and two half sisters, Ruth Johnson and Ruby Patterson.

Survivors include one brother, Farrell Billings of Flippin, Ark.; three sisters, Ethna Billings and Vanetta Dunn, both of Fayetteville, and Charlsie Billings of Farmington; sister-in-law, Viva Billings of Farmington; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Oct. 23, 2010, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery.

Visitation was Friday at the funeral home.

Family requests that following the interment at the cemetery, all friends and family bring a potluck dish to Clyde’s home for food and fellowship.

Samuel Steven Dustin Escobedo

SUMMERS — Samuel Steven Dustin Escobedo, 32, of Summers died Oct. 19, 2010, near the Barron Creek area in Adair Co., Okla. He was born May 19, 1978, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Steven and Karrie Lynn Ervin Escobedo.

He worked in the oil fields as a rig operator for Chatman Enterprises of Nowata, Okla.

Survivors include seven children, Hailey Nicole Escobedo, Jacob Charles Escobedo, Justin Escobedo, Montana Escobedo, Carile Escobedo, Coda Escobedo and Colton Escobedo.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel in Siloam Springs.

Burial will be held at the Weddington Cemetery.
