FAYETTEVILLE — The city will close access to a Wilson Park parking lot west of the park’s castle and north of the pool to demolish the existing entry drive and build a raised, colored crosswalk.
The closing of the entry on Prospect Street is expected to start at 7 p.m. Tuesday and continue through Friday.
Parking will still be available in the other three lots in the park.
Orange construction fencing, barricades and signs will be used to direct park and trail users around the construction areas.
For information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 479-444-3471.
The closing is part of the redevelopment of the Wilson Park Trail, as a six-foot-wide concrete trail with lighting.
