Pallet rental company completes Bentonville sales center

— A pallet rental service company says it has completed a new sales and innovation center in Bentonville.

Orlando, Fla.-based iGPS made the announcement Monday. The company provides all-plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification tags, which iGPS says allows shippers and receivers to track shipments.

The company says the Bentonville facility will serve as the center of its research and development initiatives.

Also, iGPS announced it has completed construction on a customer support and logistics center in Orlando, where the company plans to consolidate its customer service and logistics personnel.

The company began operations in March 2006.

Company Chairman and CEO Bob Moore says locating the sales and innovation center in Bentonville will allow iGPS to take advantage of the proximity of consumer goods and pharmaceutical manufacturers and supply chain technology and electronics providers located in the area.
