BENTONVILLE — Bentonville Kiwanis Club
The club will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Peel Mansion in Bentonville. Lunch served will be Chicken Cordon Bleu. A board meeting, which is held every fourth Tuesday of the month, will be held after the club meeting disbands.
Tim Nichols, executive director of the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter, spoke at the club's weekly meeting onSept. 15.
The shelter, which has been open since 1993, provides care for approximately 350 to 400 children each year.
For 2009, however, the shelter will most likely far exceed these numbers.
