Carroll Lee McFerrin, 72, passed away in Fayetteville on May 17, 2017. He was born August 20, 1944 in Kingston, Arkansas to George and Mary Weathers McFerrin. Carroll was an Vietnam veteran serving in the air force. He graduated from Springdale High school in 1963. He worked for Smith tile as a salesman. He enjoyed coaching football for Kiwanis Kids Day and Youth Center for 42 years. Carroll enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eulena Casteel, and three brothers, Park McFerrin, Leonard McFerrin, and Vondean McFerrin. Survivors include his wife, Sharon McFerrin of Springdale; two daughters, Julee White and husband Michael and Shelby Bruffett and husband Jamin both of Harrison, Arkansas; step-daughter, Rhonda Sherman and husband Brett of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; one brother, Wendell McFerrin of Springdale; and five grandchildren; Mason Sherman, Natalie Ward, Lindsey Ward, Dakota White and Damian White. Funeral services will be Friday, May 19th at Cross Church of Springdale starting at 12 noon with Russell Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Military honors. A visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
