Jack Guinn

Jack Guinn, 86, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born November 22, 1930 in Fayetteville to Roy and Vera Ware Guinn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Guinn; a sister, Wanda Sue Shuler; and a daughter, Sheila Rae Guinn. Jack was an Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He worked for SWEPCO for 38 years as a line foreman. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, liked to travel and enjoyed reading western books. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Guinn-Miller and husband, Nathan of Fayetteville, Deborah Shaffer and husband, Scott of Overland Park, Kan., Cheryl Hughes and husband, Larry of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Brenda Bruce of Fayetteville and Bart Blackwell of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Vera Jean Miller, Morgan Shaffer, Cameron Shaffer, Coleson Bruce, Maleah Orns and Erin Hughes-Pace; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Beard's Chapel. There are no services scheduled at this time.
