Ruby May (Tipton) Smith, age 87, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Wednesday September 7, 2016. Ruby was born March 16, 1929 in Oklahoma the wife of James Robert Smith for over 50 years and the daughter of Charles and Nola Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sister.

She was a "jack of all trades", owning and running a ceramic shop for many years, Alice in Wondaland cake tops, an accomplished seamtress, and master cake decorator, as well as a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church in Little Rock.

She is survived by two daughters Peggy Ekstrom and husband Roland of Little Rock and Marilyn Goins and husband Jesse of Searcy, Arkansas; three grandchildren Rebecca, Mark and Kimberly; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. To sign the online guest book visit
