Raymond Walter "Ray" Toler Jr., 94, of Springdale, Arkansas died Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Springdale. He was born May 19, 1922 in Searcy, Arkansas to Dr. Raymond W. Sr. and Mary Lyle Harris Toler. He was an Army Signal Corps officer and veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines. He was a graduate of Searcy High School and of the University of Arkansas and worked 40 years as an electrical engineer for Arkansas Power and Light Company, now Entergy Arkansas. During his life he was an active volunteer for many are Historical Society and Museums, such as Shiloh Museum, White County Historical Society, Cotton Belt Rail Society, the Masonic Lodge, and First Church of Springdale. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Juanita Edwards Toler. Cremation was by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
