Betty Lee Wise, 85, a resident of Farmington, went home to her precious Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2016. She was born December 27, 1930 in Ft. Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Jesse Lee and Leata Earl (Funk) Ballard. Betty married the love of her life, Edward Wise, on March 28, 1951 in Ventura, California where they began their military life. Betty became the proud mother of three beautiful children Randy, Don and Kyra. To say Betty was devoted to her family was an understatement. She spent a lot of time moving and raising her children alone while her husband was out to sea. After moving back to Greenland, Arkansas in 1966, she became a faithful member of the West Fork Baptist Church until the day she passed. Throughout her life, Betty served her Lord and community by teaching Sunday School, being a leader of Bible Study Fellowship, and volunteering at Washington Regional Medical Center and the Walton Arts Center. She also enjoyed time with her nature study group, lunch bunch but most of all she enjoyed her time with her family and friends. Betty Wise never met a stranger, all she met were dear friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, son, Randy Wise, sister Zella Hunt and several nieces and nephews. Survivors are her son, Donald Wise and wife Teresa of Greenland, daughter, Kyra McCown and husband Ruford of Goshen, grandchildren, Daniel Wise and wife Laraine, Jessica Hardiman and husband Nathaniel, Aaron Wise, Edward McCown and wife Susan, Andrea Wise and Austin Wise and great-grandchildren, Josh, Abbigail, Caleb, Bethany, Trondy, Destrie, Macheal and Molly.
