Joyce Irene Reed

Joyce Irene Reed, 85 of Rogers, was lovingly escorted to be with Jesus on June 1, 2016.In less than one day of hospice care, she passed peacefully while Scriptures were being read to her at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born April 26, 1931, in Chetek, Wisconsin the daughter of William Jay and Sarah Ann Haywood Taft. Joyce formerly worked for Daisy BB Company and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers. Joyce was spiritually born again, and she lived to help others and to build God's Kingdom. She has finished the race set before her faithfully, and was always diligent to be counted as one of Jesus's good and faithful servants. She is preceded to heaven by her husbands, Buford "Bud" Marshall Spotts and Hubert Reed and one granddaughter, Jennifer Merritt. She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Clark and husband Michael of Rogers; two brothers, Angelo Blasutti and wife Sue, David Blasutti and wife Anne all of Michigan; two sisters, Gloria White of Michigan and Lucille Blasutti of North Carolina; one grandson, Jason Merritt and wife Monica of Greenwood, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Taylor Martinez, Joshua, Elizabeth and Rebekah Merritt. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday; June 6, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers with Pastor Wade Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery, Rogers. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
