Beth Bridgers Jones passed from this life peacefully at her home in Dimmitt, Texas, on Wednesday, July 13. Born Nov. 2, 1934, to Elizabeth Mann and William Clifford Bridgers in Malvern, Ark., Beth Married Bobby Gene Jones in 1958, in Hope, Ark. Utilizing her B.A. in Music from Hendrix College, Beth taught piano and voice to generations of families in the Dimmitt area. She also served as pianist and vocal soloist at various congregations in the area. A celebration of Beth's life, complete with prayers, stringed instruments and poetry, was held with family and close friends at Elmwood Memorial Cemetery in Abilene on Monday July 18. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Bobby Jones, and a grandson. Survivors include her son, Craig Jones and his wife Kristina; daughter, Mary Jones Gregory and her husband David, all of Abilene; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Brown and husband Austin, and Anna Risley and husband Garrett; and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Bridgers and wife, Jeanetta, of Osceola, La. As well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Known for her love of music and her unwavering faith, she will be missed for her continual optimism and encouragement. The family suggests memorials to Hendrix College-Music Dept., 1600 Washington Ave., Conway, Ark. 72032 or to the donor's favorite charity.
