William Jacobs

William Jacobs, age 85, of Elkins, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016 at the Veterans Home in Fayetteville. He was born Sep. 24, 1931 in Carlinville, Ill., the son of Elmer and Katherine Fones Jacobs. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Blair Jacobs. He was a retired accountant. He was a 3rd degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna; a daughter, Christina Stimmel of Centerton, Ark.; a sister, Beverly Johnson of Ind.; a brother, Elmer Jacobs of Fla.; two grandsons, Joshua Hutchcraft of Elkins and Jacob Hutchcraft of Centerton, and four great-grandchildren, Everett, Jacob, Emma and Lily. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time and a rosary will be recited prior to the funeral mass at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, followed by burial at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
