Wilma A. Whorton, 79 year old resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, died August 14, 2016 at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born April 3, 1937 in Bentonville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Chester Hutcheson and Erma (Poor) Hutcheson. Wilma was raised in Bentonville and graduated from Bentonville High School. She married Basil Whorton on September 12, 1955 in Bentonville. They raised chickens and cattle on their farm in rural Lincoln, Arkansas for 24 years. She was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church in Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Whorton; and four siblings, Louis Hutcheson, Wanda Ward, Harley Hutcheson, and Lois Dean. She is survived by three sons, Mike Whorton and wife Diana of Siloam Springs, Terry Whorton and wife Sharon of Gravette, and Tim Whorton and wife Stephanie of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Chris Whorton, Brian Whorton, Matt Whorton, Tonya Riggins, Tyler Whorton, Josh Hatfield, and Lisa Baran; 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hershel Hutcheson and wife Chris of Centerton, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at Trinity Pentecostal Church, Siloam Springs, with Pastor Mike Whorton officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery, Cincinnati, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Trinity Pentecostal Church, Siloam Springs.
