Laveda Hasleteen "Thompson" Bowen, 93 of Bethel Heights passed away April 22, 2016 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born March 2, 1923 in War Eagle, Ark. to Walter Edward and Margaret Shockley Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Noah Sherman Bowen; one daughter, Joy Eileen Grigg; one son, Joseph Sherman Bowen; one brother, Edward Thompson and her parents. Survivors include one son, Dennis Bowen of Oklahoma; two daughters, Shirley Craig of Nevada and Linda Parsons of Gentry, Ark.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters; Dorothy Zachary of Texas and Marie Barnes of Springdale, Ark. Funeral services will be Wed., April 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Private burial services will be at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
