Kirksey Odell Harris, 88, of Lowell, AR. went to be with his Savior, Saturday, September 19, 2015. He was born March 2, 1927 in Dyer, Arkansas. He was the son of Ellis Russell and Fannie Mae Harris. After serving in the Army during World War II, Kirksey returned to Arkansas where he was a long-haul truck driver for 13 years. Following that, he was a Hatchery Manager for Tyson Foods, retiring after 35 years. Kirksey will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley Ann Harris of the home; and his children, Bea Fosmore and husband, Mitch of California, Nina Harris of California, Alan and wife, Susan of Lowell, Kenny and wife, Johnnie of Lowell and Danny and wife, Deanne of Springdale. He was adored and will be lovingly missed by his 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Aubrey and Henry Harris; and one sister, Bea Clark. A celebration of Kirksey's life will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Shane Garner officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
