Siegfried E. Laubenstein

Siegfried E. Laubenstein, 67 of Bentonville died Friday, August 28, 2015 in Bentonville. He was born January 25, 1948 in Liepsieg, Germany the son of Jacob Laubenstein and Herta Schenkle Laubenstein. Mr. Laubenstein was a member of the VFW in Monroe, Mich., and the 11th Armored CAV. Association. He was employed as a mail carrier for 30 years with US Postal Service, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Barbara Laubenstein of Arkansas; sons, Joel (Katy) Scheffler of Michigan, Keith (Crystal) Scheffler of Arkansas; sister, Hilde Kehrer of Michigan; brother, Rheinhardt Laubenstein of Michigan; 8 grandchildren, Grace, Julia and Caroline Scheffler of Michigan, Zach, Andrew, Declan, Ezra, Brooke Scheffler of Arkansas. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015 at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Nelson Berna Funeral Home handled the cremation arrangements.
