David Wilson Falknor, 75, a resident of Farmington, Ark. and former resident of Huntsville, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Oct. 17, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Dec. 29, 1939 in Conroe, Texas, the son of Levi F. and Annie Mae Gordon Falknor. David was an active deacon of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark.; he had previously been ordained as deacon of the Second Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas where he was a longtime member. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Procurement Officer after 20 years. He was the vice president of Arkansas Campers on Mission. He was a member of the Huntsville Rotary Club in Huntsville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters. David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria Jean Parrish Falknor; two sons, David Falknor, Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Houston, Texas and Douglas Falknor and wife, Lisa of Farmington, Ark.; one sister, Betty Falknor Olds of Porter, Texas; five grandchildren: Aeron and wife, Sarah, Rachel, Joel, Sarah Jean, and Amaris Falknor; two great-granddaughters, Julie Ann and Haylee Grace. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, 10 a.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark. with Douglas Falknor officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday in National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Aeron Falknor, Joel Falknor, Winfred Cox, Steve Middleton, Harry Swain, and Charles Langham.
