Jo Ann Parson

Jo Ann Parson, 79, of West Fork went to be with the Lord, October 10, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born April 6, 1936 at Drakes Creek to Bennie and Elsie Drake Garrett. She retired from the VA Medical Center after 23 years of service. Jo Ann was a member of Greenland Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, James O'Donnell Parson; parents; one brother, Carl Garrett; and two sisters, Virginia Combs and Kay Harris. She is survived by son, Nicky Parson of West Fork; daughter, Shelley Parson of Springdale; brother, Terry Garrett; three sisters, Linda Taggart, Judy Henbest and Glenda Miner; and one granddaughter, Molly Parson. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October14, 2015 at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Glen Ludwick officiating. Burial will follow at Drakes Creek Cemetery.
