Margaret Ramos Delao October 25, 1945 – July 14, 2015. Margaret Ramos Delao left earth and entered Heaven to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Margaret, a past survivor of breast cancer, was known as a tough, resilient and physically fit woman. She was also known as a very kind and beautiful woman of deep faith. She faced all challenges with a smile and full confidence in the Lord. She knew from experience that she could overcome anything with the power and strength of the Lord along with her loving family and friends. In 2012 she was stricken with advanced ovarian cancer. She accepted the news in stride and told her family and friends that she was prepared to fight and defeat the cancer. After a three year battle, she successfully defeated the disease. Unfortunately, in the end, she succumbed to her battle wounds. Today she rests in Heaven. In a great show of her strength, faith, and determination, she stretched out her final breaths long enough to see and hold her only daughter's first child who was born on June 28th. This grandchild was named Margaret in her name. While baby Margaret was loved with all of Margaret's heart, she loved dearly her entire family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Claude, and their children Harvey Delao (Teresa), Raul Delao (Melissa), Suzanne Grobmyer (Andrew), and Anthony, and their grandchildren, Stephanie, Alexandra, Margaret, Ryan and Tyler, and a great-grandchild, Gianna. Margaret, also nicknamed "George", by her husband Claude, was born and raised with 11 siblings (David Ramos, Jimmy Ramos, Alfredo Ramos, Frank Ramos, Enrique Ramos, Juan Ramos, Ruben Ramos, Jerry Ramos, Linda Tarango, Mary Jo Martinez, and Robert Ramos) in Alpine, Texas. It was in Alpine where she met Claude. They fell in love and married at an early age. He was her partner, teammate, and support base. Margaret followed Claude as he faithfully served his country in multiple ways. Through his career, Margaret faithfully served Claude as his wife and the mother of their four children. His career led them to live in multiple venues in Texas, California, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Virginia, and ultimately Arkansas. Margaret was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She enjoyed attending church, reading Bible verses, and giving to her community and neighbors. Her favorite activities away from church were spending time with her children, keeping up with the neighborhood children, cooking family meals, working out at Fayetteville Athletic Club, and long walks with Claude and their beloved dogs. She was especially fond of her caretakers and health providers who helped her in her battles with cancer. She would like to thank those at Highland Oncology Group in Fayetteville, Northwest Health System in Springdale, St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, HealthSouth in Fayetteville, Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Regency Hospital in Springdale, Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale, and Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. Their care and professionalism helped extend her life and quality of living despite being away from home and ill with cancer. She would also like to thank all her family and her many friends for joining her in her battle and cheering her on along the way. Her support system meant the world to her. A visitation will be held at Moore's Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, July 17th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Margaret requests donations, in memory of Margaret Delao to the following charities: St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1722 North Starr Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701) and the Washington Regional Medical Foundation designated for nursing education (P.O.
