Warren Jones

Warren C. Jones, age 73, former Executive Director of the Arkansas Air and Military Museum, Drake Field, Fayetteville, Arkansas died July 2, at his home in Belmont, N.C., surrounded by the pride and joy of his life, his immediate family members; wife Jeanne, daughters Jill and Priscilla. He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela. He was the grandfather of Cecilia, Charlotte, and Bennett. Warren's support for his family was inestimable and in particular his devoted attention to the activities of his girls as they grew into adulthood and beyond. A veteran of the Cold War, Warren served in the United States Air Force and was a qualified range officer and marksmanship instructor. He was a Rotarian. While serving as Executive Director of the AAMM, Warren was responsible for the merger of the Air Museum and Ozark Military Museum into a single highly acclaimed institution. Warren was passionate about aircraft and flying. A memorial service for Warren will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday July 14th, at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, Ark. with a reception to follow. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Air and Military Museum or Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. Under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
