Ina Mae Newberry, 87, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. She was born on Oct. 7, 1927, in Johnson, Ark., the daughter of Dayne and Mamie Wilson Johnson, living in this area all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clifford E. Newberry in 2008, with whom she is with again. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. She attended the Trinity Fellowship Assembly of God. She graduated from University High School and the University of Arkansas. She was a school teacher, secretary at Bear Brand Hosiery, insurance agent and adjuster, and secretary of Fayetteville Cooperative feed store. She was a member of the Stoney Valley Home Demonstration Club. She loved to cook and sew, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and talking to all of those who had time. She is survived by two sons, Dale E. Newberry and Thomas E. Newberry; one daughter-in-law, Carmen Newberry; two granddaughters, Tammy Wise and Maude Hill; one grandson, Martin R. Newberry; two sisters, Marie Morris and Barbara Gilbert. She is also survived by what she called "the greatest four grandchildren in the world," Justice, McKenzy, Jareth and Nikali. She was blessed with two special companions, Lorraine Navratil and Mariam Brogan; along with many family members, friends and loved ones that will miss her. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Moore's Chapel, with Brother Darren Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Kings Cemetery, east of Fayetteville. Pallbearers will be Dan Caughman, Jerald Southern, Tim Brogan, James Johnson, Buddy Currey and Mike Morris.
