Rolan Laverne Anderson

Rolan Laverne Anderson, 86, of Rogers passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 29, 1928 in Lowell, Ark. to Hubert T. and Lucille Alstott Anderson. Rolan was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Army as a Sergeant Gunner from 1952-1954. After serving in the military, Rolan was an Electrician. He was a beloved son, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin and Darrell. Survivors include his wife Nedra Anderson of the home; one son, Lyle Anderson and wife Janet of Lowell; one brother, Noel Anderson of Springdale; four sisters, Vada Fletcher of Cave Springs, Mary Ella Eden and husband Paul of Springdale, Nila Sizemore of Gravette, and Norma Alton of Hindsville; three grandchildren, Baylee Haworth of Springfield, Mo., Sarah Castleman and husband Jason of Springdale, and Zac Macias and wife Kristie of Springdale and four great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends. We wish him much joy on his journey. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Cemetery with Stuart Allen officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
