Eshrat Noorbakhsh

Eshrat Noorbakhsh, 92, of Fayetteville, died Jan. 31, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born Nov. 3, 1922 in Tehran Iran to Syed Mohammad and Mariam Noorbakhsh. She was a retired teacher and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ahmad Noorbakhsh, in 1995 and several brothers and sisters. She immigrated to the United States in 1978 and was proud to be a naturalized U.S. Citizen. She is survived by her daughter, Sima Noorbakhsh of Fayetteville; son, Sirous Nourbakhsh and wife Parivash of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Sid Norbash and wife Sherrie of Fayetteville; brothers, Amir Noorbakhsh of Vancouver British Columbia; brother, Ali Noorbakhsh of Tehran, Iran; grandchildren, Elham (Armin) Ansari, Ali (Neda) Norbash, Kayla (Ivan Mayes) Norbash, Kelsey (Josh) Rice; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Iran and around the world. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
