Karen Lee Anderson was born June 4, 1943 to Arthur and Norma Mueller in St. Paul, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully in Bella Vista, Ark., on July 28, 2015. Karen graduated in 1961 from Washington High School in St. Paul, Minn. She moved to Seattle, Washington where she met her first husband, Harry S. Hebb. Together they had two sons, Bryan and Stacy. They lived in various cities and ended up in Houston, moving in response to Harry's career in the NASA Space program. After Karen and Harry separated, she and the children moved back to St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a very hard working gal and was employed for some time at 3M. Karen then met David Anderson and was married in Feb. 1972. They lived in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later built a home in Scandia, Minnesota. Karen continued to work in the secretarial field, and helped her husband David run Scandia Olde Towne Liquors. Karen and Dave decided that they wanted a break from Minnesota winters, so they moved to Bella Vista, Ark., and built their dream home. After working for a few more years, they decided to pursue leisurely activities entirely, giving their time to fishing, traveling and Karen's passion for gourmet cooking, including her world famous lefse!. One of the highlights of Karen's life was the day when Publisher's Clearing House came knocking at her door, to tell her that she was a winner! Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and her younger brother, Randall. She is survived and dearly missed by her husband and best friend, David, her sons: Bryan (Julie Miller) Hebb, Stacy (Julie) Hebb. She is further survived by her sisters, Linda (Milt) Hassel and Rhonda (George) Mueller-Warrant, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Karen requested that her friends remember her in their hearts and if interested send any memorials to their local food pantry in memory of her love of sharing meals with loved ones.
