James Andrew Evans

James Andrew Evans, 88, of Lowell passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Aug. 4, 1926 in Springdale to William Barton and Nannie Belle Brown Evans. James worked for RTW. He enjoyed fishing and making wood crafts. He loved making candy, especially peanut brittle for the holidays. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Burdine Evans; two brothers, Glen Mabry and Dean Evans; four sisters, Marjorie Birge, Lorene George, Catherine Ford and Wilene "Alene" Merrell. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Olden and husband Clay of Lowell and Karen Eckert and husband Dale of Seligman, Mo.; four grandchildren, Renee Aitken, Amanda Stamper, Sarah Olden and Samantha Olden; four great-grandchildren, Brian Aitken, Logan Aitken, Jordan Muller and Halie Muller. Funeral services will be be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs with Pastor Johnny Harp officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Visitation will be Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
