Cheryle J. Witcher Sr., 70, of Bentonville died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at her residence. She was born April 30, 1944, in Bentonville the daughter of Dorothy Martin and George Turner DVM. She enjoyed bird watching, dancing and gardening. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and hunting. Her passion in life was teaching. She was a public school teacher for over 30 years, which over 20 years that were with Bentonville Public Schools. She retired in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Becky Eggers. Cheryle is survived by her husband, Loren R. Witcher Sr., whom she married Dec. 31, 1981; two sons, Loren R. Witcher Jr. of Bentonville, Jeffrey Witcher of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughters, Elisabeth Eytcheson of Missouri, Betty Lou Thompson and her husband, Keith, of Indianapolis, Ind., Sayward Sutton of Decatur, Nikki Clark of Decatur; one brother, Gregory Turner and his wife, Linda, of Rogers; two sisters, Lana Landers and her husband, Mike, of Bella Vista, Barbara "Bobbie" Turner of Centerton; numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, a hosts of friends, and many students that she loved and cherished. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Bentonville Church of Christ. Funeral service will be Friday at Bentonville Church of Christ at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
