Loyd Pense

Loyd Pense, 91, of Winslow, Ark., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was a self-employed fruit plant farmer in Winfrey Valley and a member of the Chester Freewill Baptist Church. He was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Winfrey Valley to the late Harvey and Mary (Reed) Pense. Also preceded in death by a son, Dean Pense. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Ocker Chapel of Alma, with interment in Pense-Reed Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Violet Pense of the home; two daughters, Diane Faulkner of Winslow and Denett Ralston of Mountainburg; five sons, Don Pense of Mountainburg, Darrell Pense of Winslow, Dwight Pense and Doug Pense, both of Mountainburg, and Loyd Dixon Pense of Winslow; 30 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Pense, Corey Ralston, Drew Pense, William Faulkner, Rodney Kimes and Harvey Pense.
