Carole Anne Wright, 76, of Bella Vista, Ark., recently residing in Oklahoma City, Okla., died on Sept. 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl L. Green; her mother, Carolyn Milner Green; her brother, Thomas Green; and her precious grandson, Jonathan Paine. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, William V. Wright Jr. of Bella Vista, Ark; along with her children, Wray Paine (Karrie) of Edmond, Okla., Trey Wright of Nashville, Tenn., David Paine (Melinda) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Erika Paine of San Antonio, Texas, Julie Bergfeld (Derrick) of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Scott Wright of Guthrie, Okla.; as well as her grandchildren, Caleb Paine, Nathan Paine, Austin Paine, Luke Paine, Michael Paine, Katie Wright, Chase Wright, Drake Bergfeld and Brooke Bergfeld. Carole graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Spanish. She was a die-hard Sooner fan. She could be heard miles away as she cheered on her beloved team. She wore the Crimson and Cream proudly whether she lived in Oklahoma, Texas or Arkansas. She loved to spend time with family and friends. You might find her playing bridge, pinochle, Mexican train or Farkle, enjoying dinner parties or cook outs, traveling, reading books, coloring or playing with her grandchildren. She was extremely talented and enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, painting and crafting. Carole's greatest passion was for her Lord. She loved to study God's Word and share it with others. She spent many years teaching children and adults in Bible study fellowship, Kay Arthur's Precept Ministry classes, as well as Sunday school and ladies Bible study. She was an active member of Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista, Ark., and enjoyed singing praises to her God and King as part of the church choir. She was a true prayer warrior who spent many hours in prayer for her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She had a joy that radiated through her and each time she smiled she would light up a room. Even as Alzheimer's kept her from doing all of the things she loved, her smile never faded and was evidence to so many that her hope and joy were from the Lord. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Village Baptist Church, Bella Vista, Ark. Burial will be Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Okla. Arrangements by Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Edmond, Okla.
