Reba Jane Murphy

Reba Jane Murphy, age 94, of Rogers died Sept. 23, 2014, at her home. She was born in Vaughn, Ark., on Feb. 12, 1920, to the late George and Eva (True) Sooter. On March 11, 1939, she married Lewis "Pat" Murphy, and they were married 35 years at the time of his death in 1975. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, and retired March 29, 1985, from Daisy Manufacturing where she was a press operator. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her very special neighbors. Survivors include her children, Irene Prophet of Rogers, Bernetta Adcock and husband, Eddie, of Harrison, Leon Murphy and wife, Sharon, of Harrison, Diana Warner and husband, Glen, of Rogers, Terisa McGuire and husband, Gary, of Rogers, Dottie Henry and husband, Leonard, of Rogers; sisters, Louise Harris Riley of Rogers, Alma Brown of Rogers, Vivian Dean of Pea Ridge; brother, Donald Sooter of Rogers; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis "Pat" Murphy; siblings, Russell Sooter, Alden Sooter, Roena Hickman, Iva Sooter; and a son-in-law, Winston Prophet. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, in the chapel at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Ruddick Cemetery, near Garfield, officiated by James Bland. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
